African greys are known as the best talkers among birds. Be careful of what is said because they will mimic anything. They can have about a 1200 word vocabulary. Make sure to remember that greys should get attention from all members of the family to keep them from bonding with only one person. From experience they are a wonderful bird to have around the house, they will make you laugh by the things they say and how they randomly select words and put them together to form their own sentences.

Amazons are amazing talkers, and one of the best of the parrot kingdom. These guys love to dance and play and are not shy about performing in front of an audience. However they can be loud and love to make a mess with their food. If this is the bird for you, remember to give them plenty of attention.

Cockatoos require alot of physical attention. They can be loud, especially in the morning and right before nighttime. These birds are smart and can easily be trained. The Cockatoos do produce a white powder from their feather, which can affect people with allergies. This powder will make the cages and surrounding area white with feather dust. These birds are messy eaters and will drop a lot of food. Also remember these birds are known as Houdinis, which means they are escape artists. Invest in a good and sturdy cage. These guys are known as big teddy bears and you will be able to sit and cuddle with them for hours. From my experience You will love the way these guys play, dance and give unconditional love.

Conures are great little clowns, they can dance, lay on their backs, turn upside down and many more cute tricks. They screech and can get quite loud. Apartment living would not be recommended with this breed. They have a wonderful temperament and are a popular pet.

Macaws are great creatures and offer a wonderful personality. There are about 30 different species of this breed and each one has their own personalities with likes and dislikes. These birds are very colorful, coming in a variety of colors from grayish green, golden yellow, orange, red, blue, scarlet, violet and many other colors. Some of them are rather large, reaching up to 40 inches in body length; others are under 13 inches in length. They are flamboyant, colorful, and captivating birds. Their personalities are legendary and this includes being be very loud, and very messy. Thier beaks can and will chew things very expensive. However with all this in mind, they will steal your heart away, and from experience will be the love of your life.
